Hildegarde Sylla, President

Hildegarde Sylla has served as the Senior Executive Vice President since co-founding AIS Engineering, Inc. in 1994. With over 30 years of professional management experience acquired in the federal and private sectors, her focus has been organizational development and finance.  Her graduate and law school education were the initial steps that contributed to her solid management and analytical skills which have been used in AIS’ successful growth and longevity.  Her philosophy is to seek excellence with every effort and to surround oneself with those who are motivated and inspired to reach beyond the mundane.  With the formation of AIS, she assumed the challenge of learning as much as possible about the constantly evolving field of satellite technology and after 15 years, she is more than prepared to meet the ongoing evolutionary trends of telecommunications.  For the immediate future, she anticipates continued excellence and accelerated growth.

Abe Sylla, Consultant,  (former AIS President)

Abe Sylla is a retired senior level government manager with more than 28 years of experience in management and satellite communication. His training began three decades ago at the University of Maryland and Penn State University, where he received Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Electrical Engineering. Professionally, Abe managed the General Electric Aerospace Division as well as a division at AT &T Bell Labs. He then assumed a senior management position with Voice of America. Now back in the private sector, Abe's expertise in all aspects of communications design and implementation is an integral part of AIS.

Dr. Royce Harrison, Sr. Vice President, GSED and AFTAC Program Manager

Royce Harrison brings a long and prolific track record to AIS Engineering. His 36 years of satellite communications experience includes senior level management at the Department of Defense. Royce, who holds Master's and Ph.D. Degrees from Sussex University, also worked professionally for DCA, the Air Force Logistics Command, and most recently NASA, where he was a manager in the Division of Advanced Technology.

Dr. Glen Collins, Chief Operations Officer

Glen Collins directs day-to-day operations, new technology applications, and business development efforts accelerating AIS Engineerings growth in providing premier satellite and terrestrial communications services to our commercial and US government customers.His international operations management and engineering expertise include extensive experience in new product development, team management, collaborative projects and military/classified communications technologies. Dr. Collins is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) who holds Bachelors and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and a Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence from Vanderbilt University.His 33 years as a professional include support to US Navy SECGRU, N2 and SPAWAR, US Army CECOM, Asst. Professor at the US Naval Academy, and contract work with General Dynamics, Platinum Solutions, DRS Technical Services, L-3 Communications, Rockwell-Collins (DataPath), and Scientific Research Corporation.
